Family Activity Day
As a child I have memories of the summer holidays seeming to stretch on for ages and then all of a sudden it was September, the new pencil case was being filled, and the new uniform put on ready for the start of the school year. Both my parents worked full time and so books, and the television were largely my activities over the six week break. However those who live within distance of the Cathedral have a much more exciting option! On Thursday 17th August between 10.00am and 3.00pm we are holding a Family Activity Day based on our Cathedral Annual Theme, ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ exploring ecology and the environment through science, faith, and the arts.
During the morning visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy some craft activities and then, after lunch on the Cathedral Green, we will screen the brilliant film WALL.E at 1.00pm in Becket Hall. Spend just a couple of hours or the whole day with us. Please bring a packed lunch to eat on Cathedral Green. Children must be accompanied by an adult and the cost is £3.00 per child.
A day to spend together as a family, having fun while exploring the important topic of the environment, all in the splendid atmosphere of this Cathedral. I can’t think of a better way to spend a summer Thursday!
