Portsmouth Cathedral welcomes visitors for services, tours or simply a wander around.

The Cathedral is normally open to the public from 10am on weekdays and from after morning prayer on Saturday and between services on Sundays.  The Cathedral closes after Evensong or Evening Prayer each day.

The understated beauty of Portsmouth Cathedral inspires the many visitors that come here. Its light coloured stone and towering bronze doors change their hue with the seasons and with the rising and setting of the sun.

Unique to this beautiful Cathedral is the nave with its huge arches, pillars and immense feeling of space.

Explore Portsmouth Cathedral where new and old embrace in a seamless portrayal of history and where faith and culture stand side by side.

One of the most valued aspects of Portsmouth Cathedral is its welcoming and friendly atmosphere whatever your beliefs and interests.

Facilities and Services for adult visitors. Guided tours.

There is a 'build-on' teaching model of the Cathedral - helpful for our visually impaired visitors. A 'loop' system for services is available for visitors with hearing impairment. There is an (aided) disabled person's lavatory. Wheelchair users have access to all parts of the Cathedral.

There is no entrance charge for visitors but donations are welcome to assist in the maintenance of this ancient building.
