All are welcome to visit Portsmouth Cathedral, services take place daily at the Cathedral in which you are welcome to join. We are also open for sightseeing, with guided tours taking place throughout the week.

Free admission

There is no admission cost to visit the Cathedral, we welcome a donation of around £5 per person to help protect the Cathedral for future generations.

Getting to Portsmouth Cathedral

You’ll find the Cathedral located in the heart of Old Portsmouth, just a short walk from Gunwharf Quays and Southsea Common.

Parking Information

Limited parking is available on the High Street and adjacent streets; there is no dedicated parking for Portsmouth Cathedral.

Public Transport

Bus routes 20, 25, 3, 700 & X4 all service stops around the Cathedral.

Trains both to Portsmouth & Southsea and Portsmouth Harbour Stations, both within walking distance of the Cathedral are operated by Great Western Railway and South Western Railway.

Cycling & Walking

Portsmouth has a number of fantastic cycling routes and dedicated paths around the city. Cycling from most places in the city is simple, thanks to the mainly flat terrain around the city.

Portsmouth Cathedral is also dog friendly, except for selected events and services. Please ensure your dog is on a lead at all times. Assistance Dogs are welcome at all times.
