The election of new members of General Synod, has now begun and almost anyone who attends church regularly is likely to be eligible to stand. You don’t need any special skills or need to be a member of a church committee or know much about how the Church of General Synod operates.
Nominations open on August 14 and close on September 7. If you have any questions about standing for Synod, do speak to one of the Canons or to the diocesan returning officer, Philip Poulter.
