Portsmouth Cathedral's Choral Music Permanent Endowment

Three weeks ago, during the Celebration of Music at Portsmouth Cathedral marking Dr David Price’s 30 years in post, we launched our Choral Music Permanent Endowment to secure the future of music in worship for generations to come. The fund will support our choirs, scholarships, work with young people, and the care of our historic organ, ensuring that choral music remains at the heart of Cathedral life. Our aim is to raise £2 million by 2030 to provide an annual income of £85,000.

This will ensure a sustainable and viable future for music at Portsmouth Cathedral. At the launch, the fund opened with £219,600 from several legacies and a pledge. We are delighted to share that further donations have now reached £12,465. Any donation will make a difference, helping to sustain this living tradition. Please consider making a donation on our website.
