Volunteer Opportunity
We are looking for volunteers to cook for our weekly Lunch Club which is held weekly in Cathedral House. We already have volunteers to set up the hall and serve the food.
We serve a hot lunch and pudding to an average number of 20-30 elderly and vulnerable people from Old Portsmouth and beyond. The Club is very much loved and appreciated.
We have been used to operating on a fixed menu : week 1: hotpot; week 2: shepherd’s pie; week 3: roast chicken; week 4: fish; if there is a week 5 in the month: sausage & mash. Puddings tend to be shop bought (whatever’s on offer!) and reheated. Tea and coffee are served.
