Exploring the Bible is a new series of short courses covering different books of the Bible.
As a group, we read and discuss the forthcoming Sunday Bible readings, making connections between scripture, faith and life.

During the year we run a range of courses on discipleship, prayer, the Bible, Christian living and issues of social justice. We also run preparation courses for Baptism and Confirmation. There are all run in a relaxed, friendly and informal way enabling productive group discussion and learning.
The Cathedral has an active Ringing Society consisting of people from all walks of life who regularly attend the Cathedral to ring the bells for Sunday service, weddings, blessings and for many other social occasions and national events.
A fun and engaging service for toddlers and their carers led by the Portsmouth Cathedral Ministry Team, in the St. Thomas Chapel, and then go over to the Becket Hall for playtime.
Portsmouth Cathedral has had strong links with Anglican churches, schools and communities in Ghana as part of the Inter-Diocesan West Africa Link (IDWAL) for 40 years.

The Cathedral’s Lay Pastoral Assistants (LPA) are trained and authorised to engage in pastoral ministry on behalf of the Cathedral, working as part of a team of clergy and laity.
The Friends of Portsmouth Cathedral were established over twenty years ago to develop further links between the parishes of the Portsmouth diocese and the Cathedral.
