Portsmouth Cathedral Announces Our Christmas Market 2020

Portsmouth Cathedral is delighted to be hosting our newly re-imagined Christmas Market on Saturday 5 December. We are throwing open the doors of the Cathedral to welcome local traders, craftspeople and artists to sell their products in a festive, day-long event.

Building on the success of our annual community-run Christmas Fair and our commitment to strengthening relationships with the local community, the 2020 Christmas Market offers traders, craftspeople, makers and artists an opportunity to sell their products in the stunning and unique surroundings of Portsmouth Cathedral.

This festive event will also feature a range of homemade treats and gifts from our community of volunteers and, if he can spare the time, a visit from Father Christmas.

“Portsmouth is a city of incredible entrepreneurial and creative talent. The events of 2020 have made is a particularly challenging year for many of the small businesses, craftspeople, makers and artists that form the core of our local economy. I am thrilled that Portsmouth Cathedral will be inviting local traders to sell their wares at our Christmas Market in what promises to be a joyful, festive event for all ages.”
The Very Revd Dr Anthony Cane, Dean of Portsmouth
