How to make your bunting

To help stand out amongst the towering architecture of our Cathedral, you can make your own ‘Cathedral Sized’ bunting template. The easiest way is to start with a A3 piece of paper and fold it to make a triangle, use the diagram and follow our simple steps to make your own…

  1. Start with an A3 piece of paper

  2. Fold your paper in half along the long side (portrait)

  3. Once you have found the centre line, fold and cut the edges to make a triangle

Final specification of your template…

  • The base of the triangle will need to measure 30cm in width.

  • From the centre point of the base to the tip of triangle will measure approximately 42cm in length.

Once you have made your template, it should look something like this…

When and where to drop your bunting off…

You can drop your finished bunting off to the Welcome Area in the Cathedral at the following times:

  • Thursday 19 May 3pm-4pm

  • Friday 20 May 9am-10am

  • Thursday 26 May 3pm-4pm

  • Friday 27 May 9am-11am

We will be combining all the lengths together on Sunday 29th May and Thursday 2nd June, to then decorate the Cathedral ahead of the weekend celebrations.
