Special Service for HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
Following the sad news of the death of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh yesterday, Portsmouth Cathedral will be holding a Choral Evensong in Commemoration and Thanksgiving for his life, this Sunday, 11 April at 7pm.
This service will be open to the public and available to livestream from home, providing an opportunity for the City and Diocese of Portsmouth to pay our respects to HRH The Prince Philip, and to give thanks to God for his life. It will be a service of Choral Evensong at which the Bishop will preach, and the Dean will officiate.
The service will be attended by the Lord Mayor, and by other invited civic, naval, and religious leaders. It will replace our scheduled 5.30pm service of Evening Prayer.
