Corpus Christi is also called the Day of Thanksgiving for the Institution of Holy Communion. We remember how Jesus shared bread and wine with his friends at the Last Supper, and give us the same way to receive his love, his strength, his comfort and his presence: as we share break and wine together in Communion.
