Maundy Thursday Eucharist of the Last Supper

Portsmouth Cathedral warmly welcomes you to join us for our Maundy Thursday Eucharist of the Last Supper. The service recalls how Jesus washed the feet of his disciples as a sign of loving service, shared bread and wine and instituted the Eucharist.

Our Holy Week Preacher, the Revd Dr. Stephen Hance, will be continuing his series of sermons on the topic of 'God’s Story: Our Story'.

The service will include Communion in one kind, the bread, and will be led by members of the Cathedral Clergy.

After the service, you are welcome to stay for the Watch of Prayer which commemorates how Jesus and his disciples waited and prayed in Gethsemane the night he was arrested. The Watch will finish at 10pm.

Please remember Due to ongoing changes to Covid-19 guidance, some service details may change at short notice. Please check our website and social media, or contact us to confirm information.
